Korg’s next-generation analog synthesizer

The minilogue xd Module provides the same controllers and sound engine as its keyboard counterpart, perfect for adding to an existing sound module setup. This four-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer features a customizable digital multi-engine and built-in stereo digital effects, and can be joined to another unit in a poly-chain for up to 8-voice operation. Equipped with an analog synthesizer circuit and a digital multi-engine

Voice structure: 2VCO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA, 1LFO. Plus wave shaping, sync/ring switch, cross modulation, two-pole filter, drive switch. Tuned for musicians, producing warm pads, fat basses and crisp leads.

The multi-engine delivers digital sound possibilities with an additional oscillator. It features three sound generators (noise, VPM, open-source user oscillators), providing a sonic character different from analog, expanding xd module's potential with hybrid sound design.

minilogue xd's digital effects with 32-bit DSP add depth to its sound design. Modulation, reverb and delay can be used simultaneously, offering chorus, ensemble, tape delay and a variety of reverbs. Plus, user effect slots let you add custom effects.

Polyphonic Step Sequencer

One of the major features of the minilogue xd series is its 16-step step sequencer. Each of the factory-preset programs has an embedded sequence pattern created with performance in mind.

The step sequencer provides 16 steps and supports both realtime & step recording. Quickly edit step pitch or mute with 16 step buttons for improvisatory performances. Motion sequence records up to 4 knobs, adding sound variance & precise step values from a single program, unleashing endless ideas.

When you turn Keyboard mode on, these 16 buttons operate as a keyboard of more than an octave, providing a convenient way to check the sound.

Poly chain support

Connect two units of the minilogue xd series to make an eight-voice polyphonic synth. Use one as master, one as slave.

Analog synthesizer circuit that shatters expectations for its class

Four-voice polyphonic analog synthesis, improved from minilogue, with 2VCOs, 1VCF, 2EGs, 1VCA, 1LFO and features such as wave shaping, cross modulation, a two-pole filter, and signal drive switch. 200 presets preloaded, 500 programs storable. Offering diverse, warm pads, fat basses, and crisp lead sounds.

Equipped with a digital multi-engine

The multi-engine adds digital sound possibilities, with three sound generators (noise, VPM, user slot). This expands sonic capabilities beyond analog, allowing for infinite hybrid sound design.

Noise generator

The noise generator offers four types to create percussive sounds & sound effects; use the digital filter to modify the noise's color.

VPM oscillator

The minilogue XD Multi-Engine provides a two-operator VPM/FM oscillator for metallic sounds with complex overtones, plus a SHAPE knob that lets you customize complex sounds quickly.

User oscillators

User oscillators offer 16 slots as well as a preset wavetable oscillator with morphing.

32-bit floating point DSP processing yields high-quality digital effects, enriching the deep sound design platform. Simultaneous use of 3 types (modulation, reverb, delay) offers wide variation, like chorus, ensemble, tape delay & diverse reverbs. User effect slots load custom programmed effects.

User customization brings out infinite potential

Customize the unit with 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effect slots, or load oscillators and user programs created with the SDK with dedicated librarian software. Fuse digital oscillators with analog synthesis - create, share code, and join the user community. Sample code provided by KORG is available.

Step sequencer supports realtime & step recording, plus editing steps, muting & improvisation. Motion sequence records up to 4 knobs, adding time-varying changes & precise values. Design different sounds at each step - create drum patterns & sound effects from one program. Countless ideas unleashed.

A thoughtfully designed interface

Joystick

Controls pitch bend and modulation depth, etc. A desired parameter can also be assigned to the up/down axis.

Voice mode

POLY: The minilogue xd operates as a four-voice polyphonic synth.
UNISON: The unit operates as a monophonic synth, with the four voices working in unison.
CHORD: Chords are produced using one to four voices.
ARP / LATCH: (ARP) Provides an arpeggiator with up to four voices that can also be used while the sequencer is running / (LATCH) Switches latch on or off.

A voice mode depth knob is also provided, which applies a corresponding effect for each mode.

POLY: Turning the knob toward the right switches to DUO mode and deepens the detune.
UNISON: Turning the knob toward the right deepens the detune.
CHORD: Selects mono or chord type.
ARP / LATCH: (ARP) Selects the arpeggiator type.

Micro tuning

The minilogue xd offers 23 preset tunings made by Dorian Concept and Taylor McFerrin, plus 6 user scales and 6 user octaves. Try the preset tunings of famous musicians and create your own!

Oscilloscope and motion view display

The organic EL display is larger and offers oscilloscope viewing, showing parameter changes in real-time and motion view for visualizing motion sequences.

A full complement of input and output jacks

Output is now stereo

A stereo effect unit is provided at the final stage, and the output jacks are now also stereo. Spatial-type effects such as delay, reverb, and chorus will add an even more convincing touch to your thick analog synth sounds and sparkling digital synth sounds.

Damper pedal jack

A damper jack has been added in response to requests from artists and users.

Two CV IN jacks

Two CV IN jacks are provided, with voltage levels of -5V - +5V. In addition to CV/Gate, these can also input modulation signals, allowing you to use external devices to control parameters in the same way as moving the joystick up or down.
