Built-in expansion PCM memory, and support for optional libraries
The KROSS 2 now provides 128 MB of built-in expansion PCM memory. By selecting from optional libraries that will be released following KROSS 2, you can expand KROSS 2’s internal sounds to meet the needs of your performing style or situation.
The rich expressive power of the EDS-i sound engine, with a full complement of effects
The EDS-i sound engine and 134 effects, including delay, reverb, amp modeling, and vocoder, provide rich expressive power. Seven effects units, five inserts and two masters can all be used simultaneously.
Superb sampling function and a pad sampler
KROSS 2 is uniquely equipped with a sampling function, providing 16 playable pads. You can record input from the LINE IN jack, assign a stereo sample of 14 secs to each pad, edit sample waveform and resample within KROSS 2. Long audio files from an SD card can also be assigned.

It's easy to get around on KROSS 2, thanks to a user-friendly layout. The panel of the KROSS 2 has been further improved since the first KROSS, ensuring that anyone can quickly access desired sounds and functions from the enormous range of choices.

The favorite function can register up to 128 programs/combinations, twice as much as the original KROSS. Ideal for live players who need quick access to special sounds.
The layer/split button enables easy setup of layering two sounds or assigning separate sounds to the left/right keyboard regions.
Category dial quickly finds desired sounds in the vast range. Select general type, such as piano or organ.
Ultra-lightweight and compact body, with support for battery operation
KROSS series mobility is improved, with a stylish 61-key model weighing 3.8 kg and up to 7 hours' battery-powered operation from 6 AA batteries. The 88-key model has an accessory compartment and front-located battery panel. Both models have an illuminated KORG logo.
